About Us

Cosy Cottage Thermal Holiday Park accommodates over 30,000 guests every year.  We, Jo and Clare Greenwood  have been running Cosy Cottage since 1990 and we love it. We’re keen travellers, campers, and caravaners ourselves.

The truth is, when we travel we stay in holiday parks just like Cosy Cottage. We have picked up ideas from around the world. Although we do not claim to have the most modern  chrome and glass buildings, we offer a friendly informative service which we have rarely encountered elsewhere. We provide value for money, clean modernised facilities in a very peaceful central location. Guests can walk into the city restaurants along the lakeshore through beautiful Ohimemutu Maori village. Our peaceful location is second to none. We have access to a unique hot water beach on the lakeshore, thermal reserve on our boundary, trout fishing in the stream and wildlife which visit us in the park. Natural mineral hot pools to relax in and all this only a short walk from the city centre.

We have raised our family travelling annualy to affordable, clean, and family friendly parks and we aim to provide those same values at Cosy Cottage.

We’ve lived  in Rotorua for 20 years and it is our home. Rotorua is a vibrant city winning the most beautiful city in New Zealand  award 5 times, last time 2009.  If you have questions, just ask.
